The One Million Dollar Page is launched

Now that we saw that the inventro of the "Million Dollar Homepage" has mad over U$ 356'400 (on 10/12/2005) and his plans to get his studies financed and he will brababely has enough Dollars to buy some new socks too, are not in danger we decided to start this competition.

And so the race between the Million Dollar Homepages is born...

We thought, this could be something crazy enough to work! Because we think people like crazy/quirky ideas. If this captures people's imaginations and people check out the site, then the pixels on the homepage will have value - and people will buy them (to display their ads, help us to win the race etc). That's the theory anyway. The way we see it though: we've got nothing to lose by trying. And we're sure it'll be fun.

So anyway, we've spent the last few days building this site, registering the domain name, and working out a plan. And here is the result. Check out the FAQ for all the answers you'll ever need, and don't hesitate to buy some pixels!
